We were honestly quite shocked at how good this was! If you've ever had Angels Envy regular expressions, this one is just far and away so much better we couldn't say no.
TASTING NOTES:
Aroma: We're immediately hit with warm cinnamon buns, rich and sweet sugary jams, creme brulee, and wonderful touches of vanilla, red fruit and caramel. It's fantastic on the nose that's surprisingly full and inviting.
Taste: While we were expecting a heavy port finish, it almost comes through more as sweet browned butter with yummy fruit influences, citrus zest and warmly stewed fruits. There's much more complexity coming through with additional notes of creamy vanilla, graham cracker, and warm stewed berries almost like a freshly made spiced vanilla cheesecake with graham cracker crust and warm stewed berries, and honey drizzled on top. It's full bodied, warm, and pleasantly surprising!
Finish: On the end, it's even more stewed berries, additional spices with touches of pepper and cinnamon. It's long, chewy, and pleasant with final notes of sweet custard, dark berries, and light oak. This might quite possibly be the best Angel's Envy we've ever tasted to date!
